SciSalvage - Recycling for Science
SciSalvage is provided by Matthew "Smiffy" Smith for fellow enthusiasts who like to rescue "trash" and recyle it for scientific purposes.

History
Smiffy first conceived the project early in 2004, started writing a bunch of software to run the site, got ill, everything stopped. Don't talk to me about sinus operations or sleep apnoea ;-)
July 2005 - things are moving again; this time, rather than writing the software for the site, we are using MediaWiki - the engine behind the amazing Wikipedia - as this seems to be the best community authoring system currently available.
March 2009 - after a long lull (apart from a lot of spamming) SciSalvage is moving once again thanks to new interest.
- NOTE* - SciSalvage has been locked-down for edits due to spam. Please see Help:Contents for further information.
