Welcome to SciSalvage. This is a wiki site allowing users to share information on how "trash" can become "treasure" for scientific purposes (amateur or otherwise).

Sadly, we have had to put the SciSalvage wiki into "lockdown" due to the spam coming in faster than we could get rid of it. This means that only registered users can edit the wiki. If you would like to contribute (all contributions are most welcome), please see the Help:Contents page to learn how. Really, really sorry about this, but it's due to evil spammers beyond our control :(

New: we are looking for Projects based on recycled equipment. If you have a project that fits, we would welcome an entry here, or a link to your website if you have one.
